About BullandTerrier.com
BullandTerrier.com started in 1999. I had just gotten my first Pit Bull and we rescued another one that my mom decided to keep. At the time I was looking for Pit Bull information on the internet. I was able to find alot of information but it was very scattered and the sites weren't very well organized. As a web designer, I thought there must be a better way to represent the breed. This is when I came up with BullandTerrier.com.
My goal was to create the best Pit Bull site on the internet. I went to work at creating the site and my husband helped create features like a message board, gallery and newsletter system. It was a great success and at the time I think we achieved our goal. We were listed in the About.com Top 10 dog web sites of the year and featured in a book titled "Best Pet Sites on the Internet."
Because of a job change, lack of free time and the great demand visitors of BnT put on me, the site closed down in 2001. Since that time, my husband and I have become very involved in rescue. We have fostered many dogs for a local rescue and education organization and our permanent dog count has quickly risen to three pit mixes and a cattle dog.
Last year we had our first baby. He loves the doggies already. Pictured here with our first foster dog, Abby. We have recovered some valuable free time and have pushed ourselves to get the site relaunched. Though it is still very much a hobbie for us, we now have a store which will allow us to offer unique pit bull merchandise that will pay for our server space, while also supporting our growing family.
BnT is completely designed and developed by me and my husband. There isn't a "team" of people behind it. We will do our best to keep it updated and provide quality support to all our customers. If you ever have any questions, feel free to send me an email and I'll get back to you as soon as possible.
Thanks for visiting,
Heather
